Another Win for the Bulldogs

Mason Varsity Volleyball took another win on September 12, on their home court, facing Lansing Eastern High School.

In the first set against Eastern, Mason won 25-7. Impressive teamwork and strategy appeared on the court with Olivia Williams bumping the ball, Bailee Crandall setting, preparing for the powerful spike of Victoria Nerkowski. This happened twice, back to back at the beginning of the set. Tallying two more points for Mason.
“Moments like these you push through the mental toughness and the hard work pays off,” senior Bailee Crandall said.

The second set Mason took the lead again with a repeating score of 25-7. After a quick timeout halfway through, Victoria Nerkowski hit another strong spike right off the bat. Mason’s student section erupted in loud, supporting cheers. After that Mason continued to climb with points, winning the set.

“We were finally getting the connection, it clicked,” senior Victoria Nerkowski said.
The beginning of the final set was by far the strongest for Mason. With teamwork a dominating factor of their lead on Eastern of 9-1. Resulting in a final victory of 25-9.

“We meshed well and worked really hard,” sophomore Karsyn Delbridge said. The match ended with yet another win for the Bulldogs.
